Zander Smith was a former Summit High School student and was attending Colorado State University majoring in mechanical engineering with a deep passion for cars, mechanics, and hands‑on learning. He founded the Summit High School Car Club to bring students together through a shared love of building and creating.

Zander’s life was tragically cut short, leaving a profound impact on his family, friends, and the entire community. In the wake of that loss, something meaningful emerged—his passion continued to bring people together.

The Zander Smith Memorial Car Show, proudly hosted by Breckenridge Distillery, was created to honor Zander’s legacy by supporting students who share his love for automotive and mechanical work. Proceeds from the event benefit the Zander Smith Memorial Scholarship, helping Summit High School students pursue careers in automotive, mechanical engineering, and skilled trades fields.

This event isn’t just about cars—it’s about turning passion into opportunity, honoring a young life that inspired so many, and investing in the future of local students. Thanks to community partners and sponsors, Zander’s legacy continues to move forward.
